SMTP Analyzer takes advantage of the built-in SMTP sinks present with Microsoft® Exchange and Microsoft IIS SMTP Server*.  Using the Microsoft .NET framework, SMTP Analyzer captures information about your SMTP email and saves it in a Microsoft SQL Server database for easy access.  Our SMTP Analyzer Viewer provides a simple, graphical means for viewing your mail traffic.  Filters in the Viewer allow you to quickly narrow down the list of emails to those important for the task at hand.  Configuration options let you choose whether to save message headers in the database.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

• Microsoft Windows Server 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Exchange 2000 Service Pack 3, Exchange 2003 Service Pack 1 or higher, or IIS SMTP version 6
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (including Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express) with mixed-mode authentication
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher

*(The features of SMTP Analyzer are the same across Exchange and IIS SMTP with two exceptions. Due to the way that the SMTP sinks behave with IIS SMTP, SMTP Analyzer cannot capture the IP address for the receiving server of an outbound mail, nor does it receive confirmation that the message data were received, only that the receipients were successfully transmitted.)
